CLEAN UP PRETTY!

DO take the time to get a makeover and invest in pretty lipstick colors, blush, the rightPleshette's Shopping Day @ HER Boutique in Midtown Sacramento color foundation, and mascara.

DO be ORIGINAL; choose a unique style of your own and stick with what looks good on you.  If a particular designer line has a certain pair of jeans, suits or dresses that fit you, stay with that designer line (e.g. - Baby Phat, Roca Wear, Inc, BeBe, Banana Republic, BCBG, Tahari, Anne Klein, etc.) for most of your clothing.  I personally love getting my designer jeans for the best fit from D.E.M.O. at Arden Mall.  Great discounted stores for designer jeans (clearance marked) include:  Burlington's, DD's, and AJ Wright in South Sacramento.

DO consult with a personal shopper, as an experienced stylist will be selective about what fits best on you while giving you that flattering appearance.

DO buy attractive matching under garments as it always makes for feeling very sexy behind the clothing you wear.

DO dry clean; your clothes will last a lifetime.

DO smell good; invest in perfume.

DO invest in a good body slimmer (a girdle) as it will smooth you out in your fitted blouses and dresses.

DO wear designer sunglasses.

DO wear dresses more often as men love the feminine look.

DON'T wear dirty, spotty clothes!

DON'T share your clothes with friends or sisters; nobody respects your clothes more than you!

DON'T dress like your best friend; have your own signature style!

DON'T be afraid to accessorize; accent your outfit with earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings, purses, scarves, hats, belts but DO it appropriately!

DON'T wear black or dark colors all the time, mix it up little; try a yellow, peach, or turquoise blouse with blue jeans or a short mini skirt.  I've notice that the men give you a second look with a hello and smile greeting when you dress up your look with colors that sparkle on you.

DON'T wear a Baby Phat top with Apple Bottom Jeans!

DON'T show tattoos that should not be seen!

DONT allow for your thong to show unless you are in the bedroom or on the beach!

DON'T be afraid to wear false eyelashes for special occasions (photo shoots or when you are getting married); I don't recommend wearing them everyday!

DON'T wear colors that wash you out!

DON'T be afraid to wear a halter-top; but choose halters that fit your upper body area; select halters that are flattering on you!

Clean up PRETTY this summer and don't be afraid to hire a fashion/stylist consultant or personal shopper to help you select clothing.  We all need the fashion police every once in a while to help us coordinate our wardrobe.  My mom and sister help me clean out my closet at least twice a year with throwing out what I haven't worn for a year.  They also help me with organizing clothes according to the season.  It's nothing worse, my sister says, than having sweaters hanging in the closets or in drawers when it's summer!

My Hairstylist and Personal Shopper: Kali "Toochie" Cuffee at Another Look Beauty and Barber Shop in South Sacramento

My Make-up Artist:  Angolina Placencia from Ulta Salon, Cosmetics and Fragrance at the How 'Bout Arden Shopping Plaza in Sacramento
