Black
Women Who Are on the Move!
Sacculturalhub.com
decided to open the box of African American women on the move in
Sacramento. We wanted to bring some of these women to the forefront and
recognize them as Sacramento's exceptional Black women in this issue. As
Sacculturalhub.com has evolved over the last four years, I've been fortunate
enough to meet some of the most wonderful African American women in
Sacramento. I chose to recognize these women for their incredible
achievements and because they have made such a positive impact in my life as
friends, confidants and business partners.
Often
the criteria for gaining recognition and visibility in the public eye requires
that one hold a political or movie star status. These are everyday women
who are single or married and are steadily juggling the multiple duties of
motherhood, working full-time jobs, being wives, going to school, running
their own businesses and pursuing their dreams. My staff and I felt
compelled to share what we've learned about these women who have become famous
to us in the era of Sacculturalhub.com.
I
just want to mention on a personal note that I truly enjoyed meeting and
absolutely loved talking with the women we had a chance to interview. It
is truly amazing to learn about so many remarkable things about what people
are doing, what motivates them, what they are planning and what they have
accomplished. One of my long-term goals is to spend 50 percent of my
week meeting and talking with people everyday and to share their
dreams!.
In
their own way, these Black women continue to contribute toward a better
society of living for African Americans. In their own professions:
They are Bodacious
They are Ambitious
They are Beautiful
They
are Vivacious
They
are Early Birds
They are Leaders
They are Successful
They are Role Models
They are Gifted
|
They are Smart
They are Divas
They are Powerful
They are Victorious
They are Committed
They are Fascinating
They are Sophisticated
They are Spiritual
They are Dynamic
|
They are Productive
They are Stylish
They are Professional
They are Multi-talented
They are Inspirational
They are Business Owners
They are Creative
They are Givers
They
are Trendsetters
|
And,
of course, when recognizing Black women who have touched my life, I could not
leave out my grandmother Mama Brown, my mother Cherry Douglas and my sister
Kali "Toochie" Cuffee. These are the women who continue to be
my backbone and who have molded me into the person that I am today. Read
