The 2013 Soul Train Awards will take place on November 8 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, and the show is promising 100 percent live performances with no backing tracks, according to an article on HollywoodReporter.com.

According to the article, the show will be hosted by actor and comedian Anthony Anderson and will feature performances by Chaka Khan, Jennifer Hudson, Gladys Knight, Tamar Braxton, Warren G., Big Daddy Kane, and from “American Idol” Candice Glover and Ruben Studdard.

Nominees for the 2013 awards include Kendrick Lamar, who leads the pack with six nominees, as well as Miguel, Justin Timberlake, Robin Thicke, Chris Brown, Tamar Braxton and Janelle Monae.

The 2013 Soul Train Awards will take place November 8, and will air on December 1 on BET.
