According to a BET News Poll, only two percent of black voters say they support the GOP candidates this year. With that staggering low number, former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney and Wisconsin congressman Paul Ryan, and their newly minted nomination from the Republican party, have a lot of work to do in the African-American community.

California was not represented because it is not usually considered a “battleground” state in regards to elections. However, the issues concerning the economy, voter turnout and the job market are all across-the-board issues that affect all African-Americans.
