Black Girls Rock will honor seven women this year at its 2013 awards show that broadcast on BET Networks on Sunday, November 3 at 7pm PT.
Those that will be honored include singer Patti Labelle, hip-hop artist and talk show hostess Queen Latifah, writer and producer Mara Brock Akil, tennis star Venus Williams, community organizer Ameena Matthews, ballet dancer Misty Copeland, and children’s rights activist Marian Wright Edelman.
The show will be taped at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center on October 26 and will be hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross and Regina King.
