The California State Fair starts tomorrow, Thursday, July 12, and runs until July 29 at Cal Expo in Sacramento.
Today (July 11) is the last day to purchase discount fair tickets online, such as:
- Poppy Pak for $44.95 – includes 4 general admission tickets, 4 monorail or carnival ride tickets, and one parking pass.
- Poppy Pak with Coupon Book for $47.95 – same as above, plus one Big Fun Coupon Book.
- Unlimited Ride Wristband and Admission Combo for $38
Also on sale until July 11 are advance discounted general admission tickets for adults, kids, and seniors, as well as unlimited ride wristbands and season passes.

There’s also a a number of discount days during the fair’s run, including:
- Kids Days – every Tuesday, kids 12 and under get in for free and $1 carnival rides for everyone.
- Wells Fargo Saving Days – everyWednesday, admission is $6 for all and unlimited wristbands are $15.
