Ten time Grammy winning artist Chaka Khan has entered a voluntary addiction rehabilitation and aftercare program, according to the California State Fair, where Khan was scheduled to perform this Monday.  She’s cancelled that engagement and all additional performances for the month of July, according to a statement from the Fair.

“It’s sad that she will not be [in Sacramento] to perform, but good she’s getting help,” said California State Fair spokesperson Sabrina Rodriguez via email.

Grammy award winning artist Jody Watley, along with Shalamar Reloaded, will fill Khan’s slot Monday night.  The concert begins at 8pm on the Golden 1 Stage.  Concert admission is free with the purchase of a ticket to the California State Fair.  Reserved seating is available for $20 and can be purchased at castatefair.org/tickets

Those who had purchased reserved seating online for Kahn’s show will be automatically refunded within a week.  Those who purchased tickets at the Box Office can get refunds there or may email boxoffice@calexpo.com for refunds.
