Fortune School of Education will unveil its newest tuition-free college preparatory school this August.

Named after Dr. Alan Rowe, the college prep is now accepting applications for student enrollment in transitional kindergarten through third grade. Families are encouraged to attend an enrollment meeting to learn about the school model and student enrollment process. Meetings are held three times a week at its Fortune School and William Lee College Prep campuses, as well as Cosumnes River College and Elk Grove Public Library.

Alan Rowe College Prep’s mission is to graduate self-motivated, industrious, and critical-thinking leaders who are passionate about life-long learning and committed to serving others.

This school, like all Fortune Schools, has been created to close the achievement gap for African American students. That tremendous task is accomplished in five ways — high expectations, choice and commitment, more time, focus on results, and citizenship.
