The Sacramento Sheriff Department’s Youth Services Unit (YSU), Sheriff’s Activities League (SAL), and Project Grow will host a Friday Night Hoops community event this Friday, March 1, from 6-8:30pm at Liberty Towers Church in the Foothill Farms area of Sacramento.
Law enforcement and community partners recognize the importance of working together to invest in the future of our youth, and to help them recognize their full potential. This program is modeled after the Friday Night Hoops program in south Sacramento County, which has been in place since August 2011.
The event will offer basketball, volleyball, dodgeball and other games, along with a BBQ and prizes for attendees. There will also be a Sheriff’s K9 demonstration and a life lesson for youth incorporated into the program.
