Sacramento’s Crocker Art Museum has a number of programs planned for Thursdays during the summer. Here’s a look at what they have planned!

Every first Thursday from June to September the Crocker will screen classic and contemporary films in the E. Kendell Davis Courtyard. Visitors are welcome to bring a lawn chair or blanket to watch movie stars under the stars. The lineup includes:

  • June 7 – “Superman”
  • July 5 – “Casablanca”
  • August 2 – “Coraline”
  • September 6 – “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes”

Every second Thursday attendees will mix and mingle at Art Mix – a monthly blend of music, art, creativity, and cocktails from 5-9pm from June through September. Each Art Mix blends a hot theme, cool drinks, live music or a DJ, art making, art talks, and lots of artful entertainment. The lineup includes:

  • June 14 – Pride Mix
  • July 12 – Red Hot & Bohemian Mix
  • August – Fired Up Mix
  • September Va Va Vroom Mix

Every third Thursday of the month from June to September, the Crocker’s beloved Jazz in the Courtyard presents a wide range of jazz performers, including:

  • June 21 – The Shotgun Wedding Quintet
  • July 19 – The Gonzalo Bergara Quartet
  • August 16 – Catfish and the Crawdaddies
  • September 20 – Gregory Porter
