Hello, my name is
Adrienne
Record and I have just overcome the biggest battle of my life thus far! My journey through life has included many
ups and downs, from being molested by my family babysitter, to seeing
my parents get divorced, to loving the wrong men, and to getting
married to my wonderful husband. I have enjoyed raising two beautiful
successful daughters, and then one day the “Empty Nest” season started
staring me in the face when my little dolls turned into beautiful college
women. In addition to all this, I have experienced many highs and lows in
ministry while maintaining a happy smile, while witnessing my own
father’s deliverance from a life-long battle of alcoholism to seeing him
walk back down the dark path of it, and caring for him when he was
diagnosed with prostate cancer. However, being a beautiful 155 lbs, 37-year-old African-American woman at the height of my career, I have
never encountered anything harder than being diagnosed with
breast cancer.>>more

Have you felt so alone and asked yourself:
“How
am I going to make it?”, “What is going on in my Life?”
and "Why is this happening to me?”
I always wonder if the lady who just passed me in the grocery store has ever had to the walk journey of
breast cancer or ovarian cancer? Been at the height of her career, but hiding the secret of
physical abuse from her spouse? Been molested? Struggled with
depression? Had a beautiful son or daughter without the love and support of the father? Struggled with the decision of having an abortion? Had to bury her
mother? Battled her own weight issues? Thought about committing
suicide?
We wake up every morning, take care of our children, go to work, then return home to go back through the routine again. However, when we pass each other at the grocery store or walk by each other, and we see our beautiful smiles. Are they real? Or are they a painted fake version of something that is hiding the painful truth?
Meet extraordinary women who have walked many journeys in life. These women are mothers, wives, sisters, pastors, career women, from all over our nation. Just every day women of all ages and backgrounds who have made it through the journey called LIFE and SURVIVED!
Some of their endings are not the happy endings we would like to see; however, they are the endings that were supposed to happen, and wrote their story down and Celebrated their Womanhood!
These short true stories are intimate journeys from women just like you! We’ve all have been through something and these women have made it! These stories will take you on a journey from pain to purpose and are meant to inspire you and bring comfort to your heart and soul. These women are just like
you - SURVIVORS!
