On May 31, which is World No Tobacco Day, the SOL Project — Saving Our Legacy, African American for smoke-free safe places — will recognize Sacramento Regional Transit District (SRTD) for adopting a 100% smoke-free policy at all bus stop and light rail stations.
The event will take place at Mama Kim Eats Restaurant, 1616 Del Paso Blvd., in Sacramento, from 5:15-7:30pm. Click here to RSVP.
Youth associated with the SOL Project took notice of cigarette litter at area bus stop and light rail stations for the past two years and brought it to the attention of SRTD, resulting in their 100% smoke-free policy.
