What is Season of Peace?It is an anti-violence campaign in Sacramento among community organizations, probation, churches, local gangs, schools, police and more. The Season of Peace was developed to help decrease violence in Sacramento and to give the community members an opportunity to take back their communities. We need visitors and residents of South Sacramento to come out and take part in this event on Sat-11/19 starting at 10 am and be a part of setting community standards!!!

Season of Peace Celebration Activities in South Sacramento
November 19, 2011 through January 1, 2012
The Mack Road Partnership is sponsoring a Parade and Community Fair to kick off a host of activities with a "Season of Peace" Celebration in South Sacramento. Don't miss the parade and fair on Sat-11/19 with the parade starting at 10 am at Mack Road and Center Parkway ending at Mack Road and Franklin. Parade followed by the Community Fair to take place from 10:30 am to 2 pm. Vendors, food, and a variety of activities for the entire family. FREE for the entire family!!!
The purpose of the parade is to promote the Mack Road Partnership's goal in working to make sure the community areas are safe and clean as well as working on activities to beautify the neighborhood under the street scaping and image enhancement project. Youth and family residents and visitors are encouraged to participate in the community parade and fair. As more activities are planned and confirmed to take place through January 2012, check back with us for an update.
