 Don't miss this opportunity to submit your essay and/or video clip on "What Makes an Exceptional Women of Color?" Deadline to submit the Y-EWOC Scholarship Form and your essay and/or video clip is Friday, September 14, 2012. CLICK HERE for eligibility guidelines (ages 14-21) and to download the scholarship form. Two (2) scholarship awards to be presented in the amount of $500 each at the Exceptional Women of Color (EWOC) Networking Brunch & Wellness Conference on Saturday, September 29th at UC Davis Freeborn Hall.

 The Sac Cultural Hub Media Foundation is proud to present LaKenya McClough as the MC/Co-Host of the Young Women's Summit (YWS) at EWOC 2012. LaKenya is currently an advisor to the California Black Chamber of Commerce’s Green Initiative, and co-hosts the "Envirobro" Going Green radio show which focuses on keeping the public educated about environmental news. She is also an active board member for California Women Lead (Sacramento Regional Chapter) since 2010. She holds a bachelor's degree in Communications and Organizational Management from St. Mary's College, and a Master's degree in Public Health from Touro University. LaKenya McClough is a dedicated public service leader committed to community health, wellness, and economic sustainability. Her efforts include programs and policies in health, green jobs, small business, and energy. LaKenya received Congressional recognition for her work with breast cancer survivors and the notable “Heroes Award” for her work with Black Infant Health and the Touro University Community Advisory Board.
