Sacculturalhub.com's spotlight on Betty Davis as one of
Sacramento's Exceptional Women of Color Honorees in the
Fall 2009 issue of THE HUB Magazine

"Betty Davis"--Resourceful, Humble, Passionate

Betty Davis-Owner of Culture Collection

In 1992, Betty Davis opened her own retail gift store called Culture Collection.  The Shop, located on Riverside Boulevard, a dedicated home to ethnic-inspired gifts, collectibles, apparel and home decor for holiday celebrations as well as everyday gift giving. Culture Collection has a large selection of items for weddings, sororities and fraternities, Kwanzaa and more.

Originally from Marshall, Missouri, Betty moved to England by the young age of 7. Staying until 16, she moved back to the states and soon attended college at California State University, Sacramento where she obtained her bachelor's degree.  She went on to receive her master's degree in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley.

Happily married for a stunning 40 years, she considers her husband her greatest love and best friend. Betty has seen all three of her beloved children graduate from college, a feat she considers one of her best life achievements.

Betty is an intelligent and generous business role model for the younger generation, and she's proud to offer unique merchandise that's not available anywhere else in Sacramento.  She enjoys the Sac Hub because, "it provides great information to keep our community informed in a very professional manner -- and the great staff!"
