Mayor Kevin Johnson will hold a press conference on Tues-9/27 from 11 am to 1 pm at 400 Capitol Mall in Downtown Sacramento, CA 95814 ... to address the news of Sacramento's selection as one of two cities in the country for planned private investment of $100M by Ygrene Energy Fund to retrofit buildings in the City and provide nearly 1,500 jobs to the area.
The announcement represents a major step forward in Mayor Johnson's efforts to promote job creation in the green sector. In January 2011, the Mayor's 'Greenwise' initiative released an action plan that includes a goal to double the number of green jobs in Sacramento by 2020.
