27th Annual California International Marathon taking palce on Sun-12/6 at 7 am from Folsom to the State Capitol, Sacramento. The California International Marathon (CIM) was founded in 1983 by the Sacramento Running Association (formerly Sacramento Long Distance Running Association) to bring a world-class running event to the Sacramento area.

 Farewell Appreciation Reception for Kim Curry-Evans of 40 Acres Art Gallery. Taking place on Sun-12/6 from 2 pm to 6 pm at 1001 Del Paso Blvd. at Acoma Street. Sponsored by The Kuumba Collective Art Gallery & The Sojurner Truth Multi-Cultural Art Center. Ms. Curry-Evans help raise the bar for showcasing art here in Sacramento. With a long trajectory in the visual arts, Ms. Curry-Evans has curated numerous exhibitions about such artists as Beverly McIver, Mark Priest, Charles Stewart, and Milton Bowens, and was the guest curator for HairStories, a nationally touring art exhibit addressing the social, historical, and political impact of African-American hair on popular culture.
