“Tuskegee: Journey to Flight” celebrates the gallant African American men and women who broke barriers as both aviation heroes of WWII, as well as champions of equality. The exhibit uses aircraft and military memorabilia, original letters, journals, and other personal mementos to tell the stories of these American heroes. The exhibit was developed by the California African American Museum in association with The California Museum, and is presented by the California Legislative Black Caucus to commemorate Black History Month.
An exhibition and grand opening reception will take place Tuesday, February 7 with a VIP reception at 5:30pm and program beginning at 6pm.
