The orientation will be held Sat-3/10 9:30 am until 11 am at the Oak Park Community Center; 3425 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. Families will also have the chance to ask specific questions at the orientation.
General criteria includes: Good credit (or willing to work to clean it up), a verifiable consistent monthly income that falls within the HUD guidelines for low or very low income (30 to 50% of the median income range for Sacramento County), and have a Habitat defined need, such as overcrowded, living in substandard housing or paying 50% or more for rent to qualify for this program. Families must also contribute 500 hours of “sweat” equity, be residents of Sacramento County and have the ability to repay a zero interest mortgage loan.
