The Elk Grove Youth Commmission is seeking new members from Districts 1 and 2, and those interested can submit an application by June 20.

For nearly four years, the Elk Grove Youth Commission has been tackling issues ranging from substance abuse to cyberbullying, and has contributed to a happier, healthier community for Elk Grove’s young people. The Commission is responsible for providing recommendations and information to the City Council and the public at large on behalf of the youth in Elk Grove.

The Commission is comprised of 10 voting members. Applicants must be between 13 and 18 years of age, in grades seven through 12, and must live or attend school in District 1 or 2.

Applications are due on or before June 20, 2012 at 5pm. Click here for more information and to download an application.
