August Wilson's Joe Turner's Come and Gone Hosted by Celebration Arts, until November 10th.

Set in a boardinghouse in Pittsburgh in 1911, this drama is the second installment in Wilson's series chronicling black life in each decade of the 20th Century. Each person in the boardinghouse has a different relationship to the past of slavery as well as to the urban present. They include the proprietors, an eccentric clairvoyant with a penchant for old country voodoo, a young homeboy up from the south and a mysterious stranger searching for his wife.

Joe Turner's Come and Gone is playing at our new location at 2727 B. Street and opens October 5th, running Thursday-Saturday at 8:00 pm and Sunday at 2:00 pm. NOTE: There will be no show Sunday October 7th.
