by Michael P Coleman

According to social media posts from family members, Motown founder Berry Gordy’s grandson, Ryan Gordy has been diagnosed with leukemia and has just contracted pneumonia.

According to Sherry Gordy’s Facebook page, the younger Gordy has been rushed to an unnamed hospital in Los Angeles.  The family says he’s in critical need of a blood donation, and his life hangs in the balance.

“He needs Type O Negative blood immediately!!!!” the post reads.  Contact me directly if you know someone in Los Angeles that can donate blood.”

“We need donors TODAY and TOMORROW so that he can LIVE,” the post continues.  “He is truly a beautiful spirit.  Thank you and God Bless!”
