We now have 36 states that recognize Juneteenth as a state holiday or state holiday observance. In some states, a state representative or state senator has already agreed to sponsor your state’s legislation for Juneteenth. In states where we do not have a committed state legislator. You should approach your member of the state legislature to support Juneteenth legislation. It can be in the form of a resolution or bill.
