Fortune School of Education is accepting applications for interns to assist with its 2012-13 student recruitment campaigns in Sacramento and San Bernardino. This campaign includes, but is not limited to, community canvassing, phone banking, and hosting/participating in community events and faith-based outreach to meet enrollment goals for two Sacramento public charter schools and one San Bernardino public charter school focused on closing the achievement gap for African American students: Fortune School, William Lee College Prep and Hardy Brown College Prep.
This campaign will run from April 9, 2012 to June 30, 2012. The stipend for this 12 week internship is $2500.00. Candidates for this internship will be current college students in a 4-year university, or high school seniors who have been accepted to a 4-year college. Proof of enrollment or acceptance in a college or university will be required. Recent college graduates may also apply. Individuals will be expected to begin the internship in April, and continue it through June.
Interested individuals must submit a completed application form (attached), a cover letter describing their interest in the internship, and a resume that includes the name of the college or university currently attending/accepted to.
