Rihanna took home the first-ever Icon Award and TLC performed at last night’s 2013 American Music Awards (AMAs).

Rihanna was presented with the Icon Award by her very own mother, according to an article on People.com. According to the article, her mother Monica Braithwaite “stole the show” as she told her daughter how proud she was of her success.

Additionally, Rihanna took home the award for Favorite Female Artist — Soul/R&B. Click here for a full list of winners, courtesy of MTV.com.

Also during the evening, TLC had a triumphant reunion as they performed “Waterfalls,” according to an article on USMagazine.com. Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas were reportedly joined on stage by Lil Mama. Lil Mama reportedly took the place of Lisa “Left-Eye” Lopez, who had died in a car accident in 2002.
