Many of you may have heard that Dr. Toni Yancey passed away on April 23, 2013. A colleague to many and a friend to so many more, Dr. Yancey was supportive and appreciative of California Black Health Network and we were fortunate to have had the opportunity to know and work with her. We wanted to take this moment to acknowledge her vast and valuable contributions to the world of health, especially public health. We pay tribute to a woman whose work has changed millions and will continue to change the lives of generations to come! What a grave and heartfelt loss to our world but what an astounding legacy she leaves.
