The Downtown Sacramento Foundation (DSF) recently announced Andy’s Candy Apothecary as the winner of the “Calling All Dreamers” retail business plan competition, and selected The Dailey Method as the People’s Choice Winner. Both businesses will open in the 800J Lofts Building in November.

Andy Paul, Andy’s Candy Apothecary owner, will receive a prize package valued at $135,000 to make his small business dream a reality in Downtown Sacramento. Andy’s Candy Apothecary will carry a carefully curated selection of packaged candies from around the country and the world, as well as unique handmade candies from local artisans.

With overwhelming online voting support, the DSF selected The Dailey Method as the People’s Choice Winner. The Dailey Method will offer a unique combination of ballet barre work, core conditioning, stretching, and orthopedic exercises. Run by Sandra Lemos and Stacey Armijo, the new business will be a welcomed addition to Downtown.
