Warner Bros. reportedly has its sights on producing the big screen adaptation of Julie Kibler’s book “Calling Me Home,” according to an article on HollywoodReporter.com.

The book, described as a cross between “Driving Miss Daisy” and “The Help,” details the relationships between an 89-year-old woman named Isabelle McAllister and her hairdresser, a black single mother named Dorrie Curtis. The book is the debut novel for Kibler, which came out in February and has reportedly garnered strong reviews and quite a following.
