Father’s Day is upon us, and some local organizations have some great ways to honor Dad by giving back to the community.
On May 31, the Girls Self-Esteem Program will hold its G-SEP Father’s Day Photo Shoot. For $25, fathers and their daughters can take part in a photoshoot that gives them one 8×10, one 5×7, four 4×6 and 12 wallet photos.

The Girls Self-Esteem Program and G-SEP Parents Guild is hosting its Father’s Day Flapjack Fundraiser on Sunday, June 16, in Elk Grove.
Honor our male figures while enjoying a pancake breakfast, and try your hand at raffles and prizes. The breakfast begins at 8am at Applebee’s, 9105 E. Stockton Blvd., in Elk Grove. Tickets are $10 by pre-sale. For more information, call 916-739-0894.
And The Fathers Resource Center is looking for a few good dads for its Fathers Calendar Model Search. In an effort to promote positive fatherhood 365 days a year, the Center is publishing a fundraising calendar, and is currently searching for models in the Greater Sacramento area.
