Comedian Chris Cotton, known for his work on Comedy Central, has died, the network announced on Twitter. He was 32, and his wife is expecting a child, according to People and E.

“We’re devastated by the loss of Chris Cotton – a hilarious comedian, a beloved member of the Comedy Central family and a joy to be around,” the network said in a Wednesday tweet. “He will be missed.”

Cotton appeared in the TV movie “Diwal’oween,” the series “Carpool Rules,” the documentary series “Gotham Comedy Live” and the show “Every Damn Day,” for which he was also a writer and producer.

Entertainers took to Twitter to honor the comedian.
