PRESS RELEASE – September 26, 2013
Correctional Workers Who Care

Greetings! It’s that time of year again, for us to provide a Christmas for families in need. The Correctional Workers Who Care, their family, friends, co-workers and Sponsors really look forward to this time, because we have the opportunity to give back to the less fortunate in our community.

For the past eighteen years, this event had been solely in “Oak Park” and the only Christmas for most of the families that participate have. We are proud to announce that we have added the Meadowview area giving more families the opportunity to share in the giving. The Holiday Festival provides food, guest speakers, special treats, entertainment and let’s not forget, Santa and gifts for all children that attend.

We are asking that you partner up with us and/or help sponsor this event. We are seeking monetary donations 300 turkeys, 300 boxes of mashed potatoes, 300 cans of green beans/corn, 300 cans of gravy, 300 cans of cranberry sauce, 300 bags of rolls, 300 pies, 300 baskets (for food).. Your assistance will help make this event a success and bring smiles to the faces of the little ones in the community.

This year’s Holiday Festival will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2012 at the Pannell Meadowview Community Center located at 2550 Meadowview Road Sacramento, Ca 95832 from 9: 00am to 1:00pm.  Volunteers are requested to arrive at 7:00am to assist with the setup.

Last year we had 147 in attendance. All families will be required to pre-register 10/1/2013-11/3/2013.

The Holiday Festival is a small token of our commitment and love for the children in our community. Correctional Workers Who Care, is extending an invitation for you to come out and join us in our efforts to give back to our community.
