Dr. Dre’s public apology on Friday, which he directed “to the women I’ve hurt” after new questions about decades-old abuse allegations against him, has been met in recent days with varying degrees of acceptance from his accusers.

“Being that Dr. Dre has been so dismissive of his past violent behavior towards women, I’m glad to see he is finally addressing the assaults,” Tairrie B, who once shared a rap label with Dr. Dre, said in an email.

However, Tairrie B added of the apology, “I think it would have had a greater impact had he mentioned the women he attacked by name.”
