Pairing a photo of herself playing the role of social worker Ms. Weiss in Precious with the cover artwork for her 2005 album The Emancipation of Mimi, Carey nailed her take on the meme.
So, where did this meme come from? Apparently, it’s based on a Marilyn Monroe quote, where she said, “I’m selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control, and at times hard to handle. But if you can’t handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don’t deserve me at my best.” Although some people have pointed out there isn’t any real evidence she ever actually said that.
