Floyd Mayweather was caught doing something that is certainly going to tarnish his image as one of the greatest athletes in history. It’s been determined that Mayweather was found to have taken a banned substance right before his big fight against Manny Pacquiao.
The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) says that they found the substance when giving him a pre-fight drug test. The agency issued Mayweather an exemption for the substance, but this did not occur for another 19 days after the fight.
What’s really interesting about all of this is that the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC), the agency that had jurisdiction over the fight, says that they were not notified about the incident until long after the fight had taken place. They also say that the exemption was issued without their consultation.
