It’s that time again — California State Fair time! And as always, this year’s fair promises to be chock full of fun for all ages.

The 17-day fair is a complete celebration of the State of California, its industries, agriculture and diversity of people.

This year’s fair is set to include 75 free kids activities daily, new rides including the 100 feet high Vertigo and White Water Log Flume, and eight days of Thoroughbred Racing. And for foodies, there’s all the deep fried favorites you love, plus something new — spaghetti ice cream!

As always there’s 17 nights of free concerts, including True2Crue, The Four Tops, Grand Funk Railroad, and En Vogue. Click here for the full concert line up.

Special events at this year’s fair include Brewer’s Festival on July 20, Destruction Derby from July 19-20, and the Sacramento Mile on July 27.

The 2013 California State Fair will be open starting this Friday, July 12, until July 28. For hours, prices and more information, visit www.bigfun.org.
