Jaden and Willow Smith covered the September issue of Interview. The siblings believe the older generation doesn’t understand their “thought process.” However, they find their parents, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, have always accepted them and they are an inspiration to them.The Interview cover is the first cover the Smith siblings have done together. Jaden and Willow showed their off the gender ambiguous fashions style on the September cover. Jaden and Willow have been in favor of the androgynous look. They are thankful that they were able to choose what they wanted to wear growing up.
Both brother and sister described their parents, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith, as their biggest influences in life. Jaden told Interview magazine that he believes that they have allowed them the freedom to become the independent spirits they are today.
Jaden Smith commented on the use of social media and how some use it to brag about their overly lavish lifestyle, pretending to be happy, but expressed that true happiness doesn’t come from flaunting what you have.
