Jay-Z and Beyonce’s recent trip to Cuba to celebrate their wedding anniversary is still stirring up trouble.
According to an article on MTV.com, the US Treasury Department said the cultural trip was fully licensed by the Treasury after members of Congress began an investigation as to how the couple were even allowed in Cuba since there is a US trade embargo against Cuba that prohibits US citizens from traveling there.
Then earlier this week, Jay-Z responded to the criticism released a song called “Open Letter” where according to another article on MTV.com, he refers to a conversation he had with President Barack Obama about him getting impeached. Jay-Z reportedly raps, “Obama said, Chill, you gonna get me impeached/You don’t need this shit anyway/Chill with me on the beach.”
These lyrics reportedly caused the White House to issue a statement, saying President Obama did not speak with Jay-Z prior to his Cuba trip.
