Kerry Washington, Don Cheadle, and Paris Barclay are just a few of the many names receiving nominations for the 2013 Primetime Emmy Awards earlier today.

Washington received a nomination for “outstanding lead actress in a drama series” for her work in the show “Scandal.”

Cheadle was nominated for “lead actor in a comedy series” for his show, “House of Lies.”

Barclay is a film and TV director — who this year became the first black president of the Directors Guild of America — is nominated for “directing for a comedy series” for an episode of “Glee” he directed.

This is also the first year that Netflix has received Emmy nominations, according to an article on USAToday.com.

The 65th Emmys will broadcast live on Sunday, September 22 at 5pm PST.
