Lin-Manuel Miranda is one of the busiest men in show business. He is currently working on new music for Disney’s upcoming live-action Little Mermaid film. Additionally, he will make his directorial debut in with Netflix’s ‘tick, tick…BOOM!’, starring Vanessa Hudgens and Andrew Garfield.

However, the mind behind the Moana soundtrack is perhaps best known for his groundbreaking Broadway show Hamilton: An American Musical. During a recent conversation with Variety, Miranda revealed that the 7th highest-grossing Broadway musical since 1982 is on its way to the big screen. Additionally, he revealed the movie will be made up of previously-filmed footage of the original Broadway cast’s run on stage. Hamilton‘s original director Thomas Kail (Fosse/Verdon) has reportedly taken this stage footage and turned it into a cinematic experience made for wide release
