Unknown vandals have vandalized the Lincoln Memorial by splashing green paint on to it, according to an article on Washington Post.com.
According to the article, the monument was closed this morning to as police are conducting an investigation and reviewing surveillance footage. No words or symbols were reportedly painted on the monument, and no damage was done to any other nearby monuments.
