Loved-up and slimmed down: Alison Hammond is ‘ready’ to take over Holly’s crown
Walking the red carpet at the BAFTAs last week, Alison Hammond appeared to be brimming with confidence as she posed for photographs hand-in-hand with her son, Aiden, 17.
The 47-year-old This Morning host – nominated alongside the likes of Graham Norton and Michael McIntyre in the entertainment performance category – looked sensational and couldn’t stop smiling in a bespoke dress and silver cape as she danced on the red carpet ahead of the ceremony.
Fans on social media described her glam look as “stunning”, “absolutely beautiful’’ and “perfection”, while others commented on her new confidence and star quality.
“The best I have seen her look. Dress, hair and make-up, stunning,” said one, while another added, “She’s done something, but whatever it is, it’s worked. She looks great.”
Alison herself Tweeted, “I was buzzing all night and, although I didn’t win a BAFTA, I did however feel like a winner standing next to my handsome son and wearing a bespoke @davidobrien75 dress.”
Last January, 19 years after she joined the programme as showbiz reporter, Alison landed a regular Friday morning slot presenting alongside Dermot O’Leary – an opportunity the former Big Brother star described as a “huge privilege and honour”.
