Former first lady Michelle Obama is teaming up with media company ATTN to launch A Year of Firsts, a docuseries about life as a first-year college student that will be available for viewing via Instagram’s IGTV platform.

News of Obama’s latest venture came Tuesday, when the Becoming author took to her own Instagram account with a video post offering a personal explanation of why the forthcoming series is so important to her.

“As a first-generation college student myself, I know how intimidating it can be to take that leap and pursue your educational dreams,” she wrote as a caption to accompany the video. “That’s why I’m so proud of these students. By sharing their stories, they’re helping others see that the ups and downs of the first year of college are something everyone goes through—and they’re creating a supportive community for others facing similar challenges.”
