Christmas traditions will sparkle and holiday music will fill the air at Sacramento’s Crest Theatre as Grammy-nominated songwriter and pianist Jim Brickman brings his 20th annual holiday tour to Sacramento’s Crest Theatre on December 6.

The 30-city national tour, Comfort & Joy, kicked off last week in New York, and has earned rave reviews while playing to capacity audiences.  Brickman’s Sacramento show will feature special guest vocalists Anne Cochran and John Trones, along with electronic violinist Tracy Silverman.

This year’s holiday tour is named after Brickman’s exceptional and seventh (!) holiday album.  Like me and the rest of his fans, he can’t get enough of Christmas music.

“It’s time to kick off the Christmas season,” Brickman told me via email.  “I’m very excited to bring the holiday tour back to Sacramento!  We had a really great time there last year, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you again.”

I’ve caught Brickman’s show several times over the years, and I can’t think of a more perfect way to ring in the holidays.  His music reminds us that faith, love and togetherness are what we value most this time of year.  Trust me — if you enjoy piano music, and you’ve not caught Brickman live, you’re missing out.
