Fresh offer her Oscar nomination, “Beasts of the Southern Wild” star Quvenzhane Wallis will play the title role in Sony’s planned remake of the musical “Annie,” according to an article on TVGuide.com.
The remake will reportedly hit theaters in 2014 and will be directed by Will Gluck and produced by Will Smith, Jada Pinkett-Smith and Jay-Z.
