Regina King approached the Emmys podium Monday night with pulled back twists and genuine surprise for winning an award for her role in Seven Seconds.
Although just moments before she had dropped lipstick on her neon yellow dress, and was trying to remove the stain, King revealed just how shocked she was to actually win in her competitive category right away.
“Really? Say word,” she told the room. “Wow, I didn’t have nothing to say because I wasn’t really expecting this.”
