The Ying Yang Twins will participate in a pregame Studio Session with local youth and mentors to inspire and encourage participants to dream big. “We are thrilled to welcome fans back to Golden 1 Center to tip-off the regular season of Kings basketball following an eventful off-season and successful Summer League,” said Sacramento Kings President of Business Operations John Rinehart. “The game will feature a variety of new and engaging entertainment aspects including celebrity appearances, a performance by and mentoring session with the Ying Yang Twins and an exciting After Party in our Sierra Nevada Draught House.”

The Ying Yang Twins are a hip-hop duo from Atlanta, Georgia, consisting of Kaine and D-Roc. The duo debuted in the early 2000s and is  known for their songs “Get Low,” “Salt Shaker,” and “Wait (The Whisper Song),” for which they received a Grammy nomination. In addition, they have worked with artists such as Britney Spears, Lil Jon, Trick Daddy and more. Prior to tip-off, Ying Yang Twins will sit down with community members in Golden 1 Center’s Music Recording Studio to discuss their journey and what inspires them. Participating youth and mentors are associated with the 4 Your Epiphany Foundation, Inc., Anti-Recidivism Coalition, Juma Venture, Improve Your Tomorrow and Roberts Family Development Center.

The game will feature appearances by local celebrities and the team will host the season’s first After Party at the Sierra Nevada Draught House following the game featuring DJs, food, drinks and merchandise for purchase.

This season the Kings will join franchises across the league in honoring the late basketball great and former Kings coach Bill Russell with the iconic number six patch on the right side of their jerseys and displayed above the NBA logo mid-court in black, white and gold branding.

The Southwest Entrance to Golden 1 Center will open thirty minutes earlier than the Grand Entrance at 5 p.m. in an effort to get fans into the arena efficiently.
