As part of a continuing effort to promote youth safety, the Elk Grove Police Department, Elk Grove Unified School District (EGUSD), and the Cosumnes Community Services District (CSD) are pleased to announce that Safety Town is coming to Roy Herburger Elementary School from July 22 to August 2.
Safety Town is a two-week comprehensive educational program that introduces 5-year-olds to safety awareness. The program teaches children entering kindergarten in the fall basic safety awareness and accident prevention through hands-on learning activities.
Enrollment is limited to 64 children. Participants will attend 2 1/2 hours a day for two weeks, Monday through Friday. Acceptance into the program will be on a first come, first serve basis. Registration fee is $25.
