Actress/Activist Sheryl Lee Ralph’s DIVA Foundation kicks off its 24th Annual HIV/AIDS benefit concert DIVAS Simply Singing with a special announcement: Sheryl Lee and friends will honor Dionne Warwick LIVE at the 24th Annual DIVAS Simply Singing! 7:30 pm, Saturday Oct 18th, 2014 at The Richardo Montalban Theatre in Los Angeles.

A longtime supporter of HIV/AIDS research and support, Ms. Warwick famously teamed up in 1985 with composer Burt Bacharach and longtime friends Gladys Knight, Elton John and Stevie Wonder to record the landmark song “That’s What Friends Are For,” which became a number one hit record around the world and the first recording dedicated to raising awareness and major funds (over $3 Million) for the AIDS cause in support of AMFAR, which Warwick continues to support.

It is for her unsung lifetime of AIDS awareness, support, and devotion to the cause that Sheryl Lee Ralph and The DIVA Foundation 501©3 have chosen to honor her at this year’s event, that’s what friends are for!
