Horrifying news for our country – a shooting at the Ford Hood Military Base near Killeen, Texas claimed the lives of 4 people yesterday. Fourteen others were also injured, although these numbers cannot yet be confirmed. The shooter himself, 34-year-old Ivan Lopez, was one of the 4 who was killed, reportedly from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The shooter was a soldier who served in Iraq for four months in 2011. All of the injured victims are believed to be U.S soldiers.
