Join Sojourner Truth Museum, Kuumba Gallery, Brown Sugar Gallery, and Framed By Frankie for a very special Black History Celebration presenting the Phoenix Park Magic Johnson Community Empowerment Youth Exhibit on Saturday, February 16, at the Kuumba Gallery.

The exhibit will depict the legacy of the visual Harlem Renaissance artist. Special guests will include The Harley White Band and Stacey Shelnut-Hendrick, director of education at the Crocker Art Museum, who will facilitate a presentation on “Jacob Lawrence’s The 1920’s … The Migrants Cast Their Ballots.” The event will also include a marketplace, food, film documentary and children’s art activities.

The event will be held at the Kuumba Gallery, 1001 Del Paso Blvd., in Sacramento, from 1-5pm. For more information, call 916-320-9573.
